Albuquerque , New Mexico
January 2019 ( 7 day trip )
Day 2:
Our first stop was the Rio Grande nature center. Lots of Canada geese, mallards, later on a
rare visit from some Wood Ducks. The folks at the Rio Grande center said it was rare to see them there its been a long time since they visited.
We Walked the trails looking for wildlife checked out the ponds around the Nature center which had tons of Canada Geese.
We left and drove down the road a short ways and found the Sandhill cranes in some corn fields. I got a few photos of the Sandhill Cranes mating dance. They were pretty relaxed with us around.
Next we took off searching for a great spot to photograph the Full moon . We headed down Tramway Rd. to go on top of the mountain but it was closed due to snow.
So we pulled over watched some Bison graze and just took in the mountain views.
Then headed down to Old Town Albuquerque for dinner.
We decided to eat at the San Felipe Church St. Cafe in Old Town Albuquerque their food was good but very very spicy . After dinner we decided to walk around and do a little shopping afterwards we headed out to photograph the Full moon coming up behind the mountain. We got lucky and found a great mountain and the moon was gorgeous.
